My Tribute to Fall!

I don’t know about you but, for me, Fall is one of my favorite times of the year.  If you are a sports enthusiast, you are in the meat of the baseball and NASCAR seasons, there is still some prime golfing season remaining, hunting season is just ahead, and finally, the football void is about to be filled.  This year, the Steelers are looking to defend their title, and Penn State is off to a 2-0 start and is ranked in the Top 10.  Driving through Everett, the Warrior Spirit is noticeable in the store windows as high school football is underway.  Mother Nature is about to bring out her full artistic splendor with the changing of the leaves and the weather will be moving towards a place of “not to hot” and “not to cold” but just right requiring an occasional jacket or sweat shirt.  For the local businesses, we are coming into the time of year that should help with the bottom line; the Fall Foliage Festival is coming which should draw many visitors to the area, the Bedford Springs is saying that October will be their busiest month yet with an anticipated increase of 50% over last October, and “Black Friday” and the Christmas season are just around the corner.   What a great time to be living in Bedford County…take time to participate and enjoy!
