All roads lead to Bedford County, or so it seems. Bedford County has an
extensive system of transportation with more Interstate Highway miles
than any other county in Central Pennsylvania. I-76, the Pennsylvania
Turnpike presents east-west access to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia with
interchanges in both Bedford and Breezewood. I-70 offers access to
Washington/Baltimore, the I-81 corridor and other points east. The
nearly completed I-99 which begins in Bedford County, provides access
north to I-80 near State College. Easy access from all points east,
west, north and south make Bedford County an ideal location for business
of all sizes.
The $14 million Bedford County Airport has the capability of
handling turbo-prop commuter and executive aircraft. Charter service is
available from BCA and commuter flights are available within a 30-minute
drive. The county is less than 2 ½ hours from Pittsburgh International,
Baltimore Washington International, Dulles International and Reagan
national in Washington DC.
Rail transportation is a half-hour away, north to Altoona and south to
Cumberland MD.
